Straight Lines
Straight lines can play a useful role in photography.
A picture's straight edges form a horizontal and vertical frame of reference for the image content. Parallel straight lines highlight linear perspective in an image, to create a perception of depth. This exercise involved making one or more straight lines the subject of a photo. The majority of straight lines that DIG members found were associated with man-made objects and a sample of these is displayed below. |
